Oscan Grammar

Oscan is an Italic language similar to Latin. This means that the language is inflected in a similar way. Below are some examples on how words are conjugated.

deíkud - to eat

When a verb is conjugated, the -ud ending is replaced with a new ending to indicate an inflection.

I speak - deíkú
You speak - deíkum
he/she speaks - deíkaid
we speak - deíkúí
they speak - deíkúím
I spoke - deíkuvú
You spoke - deíkuvúm
He/she spoke - deíkened
They spoke - deíkuzet
I will speak - deíkit
You will speak - deíkaket
He/she will speak - deíkest
They will speak - deíkuzet
